THE BEAUTY IN ENTROPY
I do not see deterioration as the opposite of beauty.
I see transformation within it.

Traveler 36x36 acrylic/mixed media on plywood
I approach painting as an excavation of the human condition. A way of giving physical form to experiences that language can only approximate. There are certain things within us that resist explanation: love, grief, fear, longing, loss, trauma, memory. Words can describe their circumstances, but they rarely communicate their true magnitude. They tell us what happened. They cannot always tell us what it felt like to exist inside it.
Painting offers another kind of language.
